Angotti is Key Note Speaker at Aviva Canada’s event, “Celebrating Women in IT”

Clara Angotti was the key note speaker at Aviva Canada’s event ‘Celebrating Women in IT’ on October 10^th as part of the international Ada Lovelace day, a celebration of the achievements of women in STEM.

Clara spoke about her 25-year career as a woman entrepreneur in the IT industry.  She also shared some valuable lessons that she’s learned along her journey.

Clara commented on the importance of corporate diversity.  She believes “the optimal work environment is inclusive, and respectful of our differences.”  She further added “I don’t view Next Pathway as a woman-led IT firm; I see a collection of smart, talented individuals working towards a common goal of excellence.”  She also shared her views on the struggle for work/life balance, the importance of making mistakes, and the innovation that emerges when disruption occurs.

Following the key note, Clara was joined by other female IT executives for a panel discussion on the role of women in technology; the panel was moderated by Ben Isotta-Riches, CIO of Aviva Canada.
